Hi again Paul; As far as the difference between singles and twins, basically twins are somewhat smoother, usually rev up faster, but I never found vibration to be a problem with my Savage. As was commented on by Polar Pilot, back in the '50's, all the bikes except Harley and Indian (American, that is)were 650 and under and they were the "cruisers" of their time. I have had vertical twins, v twins and an opposed twin and this is my third single. I sort of like singles. But what can I tell you? Try it, you might like it. One thing I know you will like, if you get a Savage LS650, don't worry about cars at red lights, they really pull out fast. Frank M.
